Dnvy Steps Into the Future of Reggaeton

The artist formerly known as Novaspace draws on his platinum-certified EDM legacy and international DJ career to unite Latin rhythms and electronic production with a new focus on his own vocals.

MIAMI, FLORIDA • OCTOBER 2026

For years, the artist known as Novaspace helped bring electronic records to life. He worked behind the scenes, developed songs in the studio, and performed for audiences around the world. Now, under the name Dnvy, the South Florida native is making a more personal introduction, placing his own voice inside the music he creates.

The Miami-based producer, songwriter, vocalist, and DJ is entering a new phase with a sound he describes as futuristic reggaeton. His approach brings the rhythmic energy of Latin urban music together with the melodic instincts and detailed production of EDM. Spanish-language vocals, electronic textures, and reggaeton rhythms give the project its direction, while years of studio experience provide its foundation.

His new single, Hoy No Contesto, introduces listeners to an identity that connects his electronic past with the music he wants to make next. At the center of that transition is a simple creative decision: to become the voice of his own story.

The Novaspace Years

Before Dnvy, Novaspace established a career across electronic production, songwriting, and international DJ performance. A platinum-certified producer whose experience includes work alongside Avicii, he developed his craft within a scene where studio decisions could travel far beyond the room in which they were made.

Among the standout achievements associated with his catalog is ReDefined by tyDi featuring Melanie Fontana. The record became SiriusXM BPM’s No. 1 song of 2015 and appeared on Billboard charts, marking a significant milestone in his career. Additional records also charted during his Novaspace years, reflecting a body of work that extended beyond one successful release.

That career included ghost production, a part of the music business in which creative contributions often remain behind the scenes. Working in that capacity requires close attention to melody, arrangement, and sound design, as well as the judgment to develop an initial idea into a finished record.

His experience reached beyond the studio. International performances, DJ residencies in Las Vegas, and an appearance at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas brought him into direct contact with dance music audiences. Those stages added a live dimension to the production knowledge he now carries into Dnvy.

Bringing His Own Voice Forward

The most personal development in the Dnvy project is his move into vocal performance. Having spent years producing and writing music, he is now recording his own vocals, combining singing with rhythmic delivery and taking a more visible role in the songs he creates.

His background in pop production shapes that approach. A vocal melody has to work with the instrumental, while phrasing, harmonies, and lyrical delivery help give the song its emotional character. Vocal processing and arrangement then determine how that performance sits within the finished production.

Dnvy brings those decisions into one creative process.

He can develop the instrumental around the voice and refine the vocal in response to the track, drawing on his experience as both a songwriter and a producer. The performance becomes part of the song’s design from the beginning.

For an artist whose career has included substantial work behind the scenes, this shift makes the connection between the person and the music more direct. Listeners are being introduced to the voice behind the production as well as a different side of his songwriting.

Miami Roots and a Futuristic Reggaeton Sound

South Florida provides the setting for this new direction. Based in Miami, Dnvy is developing a project informed by the meeting of electronic music, Latin culture, nightlife, and international influences.

The sound he calls futuristic reggaeton builds on the rhythmic foundations of Latin urban music. Around those rhythms, he brings electronic textures, melodic songwriting, and the sound design techniques developed throughout his EDM career. Spanish-language vocals are central to how these elements come together.

His ambition is to create music that can move between Latin playlists, mainstream streaming audiences, and international dance floors. That goal gives the project a broad outlook while keeping its musical identity rooted in the relationship between the vocal and the rhythm.

His electronic roots remain central to that vision. Dnvy is drawing on an established production background as he explores how reggaeton and dance music can interact, with the aim of creating a sound that feels contemporary and recognizably his own.

Hoy No Contesto Introduces the Next Chapter

With Hoy No Contesto, Dnvy introduces this next phase of his career. The single’s October 23, 2026 release marks the beginning of a project with ambitions beyond one record.

For longtime Novaspace followers, the project offers a different way to hear an artist they already know. The production experience remains, now supporting his own vocal performances and an expanded set of musical influences. New listeners encounter a performer whose introduction as Dnvy is backed by years of work in electronic music.

The change also creates room for greater creative freedom. Under this name, he can bring his roles as producer, songwriter, DJ, and vocalist together without having to separate the studio craft from the artist performing the song.

His ambition reaches across genres, cultures, and continents, but the immediate focus is personal: developing music that reflects who he has become. Novaspace established the experience behind the records. With Dnvy, that experience has a voice of its own.
